A Dose of Happy

I am by no means ignoring all that is happening in this world. I read, hear and see the turmoil. It is disheartening. Yet, with all that is occurring around us, I try to keep my eyes focused on what is positive, cheerful and light. This world we live in is awfully heavy, and because of this, I created this post in hopes it'll give you a dose of happy

Today's outfit takes you down a gleeful trail of Happy - A colorful top that accentuates the body in the most happy of places is coordinated with accessories that inject an extra does of playful into the look. Gone are the days when we were told our shoes and handbags had to match. In today's world, the rule of thumb is that they just need to make sense together. To anchor the look I've chosen my favorite pair of jeans.

You most stay to the end of this post because I'm treating you to even more happy over at Midlife Blvd. Instead of giving you the Sartorial Savvy, I've written a post I'm sure you'll enjoy called, 5 Fun Ways to Inject a Dose of Happy into Your Wardrobe. Enjoy the post!

Outfit Details:
Let's start with the sandals - my first ever shoe purchase from H&M. An enjoyable pair in faux suede in shocking red: H&M Sandal

5 Fun Ways to Inject a Dose of Happy into Your Wardrobe
I always feel the excitement that occurs when spring and summer arrive. Conversations of new beginnings and reinvention are at the forefront; people are in a frenzy to ditch their winter wardrobes for lighter, more cheerful attire. With warm sunny weather comes the time to drive with our top down (on the car that is), to wiggle our brightly painted toes in the sand, and to availing ourselves to all that’s Happy in the world.

Even though we throw the windows open to receive the freshness of the warm months, we can still have a gleeful disposition by injecting doses of it into our everyday wardrobe. Here are five ways to get your happy fix even when the weather or circumstances are melancholy:

  1. So is that why I've been wearing black despite the warmer temps? Because the headlines have affected my color palette? I think I better follow your example and try to find some sartorial sunshine. Thanks Glenda!

  2. I don't know if you know this but I am currently dealing with a painful debilitating medical condition. And the one thing that I always go to for diversion from my total bummer of a situation is thinking about fashion. Even though I can't possibly wear some of the things I love, I dream about them and it takes me away for awhile. Fashion truly makes me happy. You get it, Glenda, my friend!

  5. It is such a happy top indeed. And another Ebay. You are so good at that. Ebay is rubbish in The Netherlands and I don't order anything from the USA anymore (heavy customs cost and shipping). Your new sandals and yellow bag add elegance and interest to the outfit. It is spring!

    1. That's too bad eBay is rubbish in the Nethetlands. It's such a good source in America. I've even purchased from other countries.

  6. I am a new fan! This happy post simply made my day! It reminded me of how pleasurable a pop of colt, texture or accessories can make one feel! I had begun to neglect the fashionista in me! Thanks for bringing it back!

I am in Portugal, and the tiles remind me of something that I might see here.! I brought your book and am almost done reading! Such a treat!
