Style Is...Unique

Welcome to part two of the month-long series:
Style Is...

Style Is...Unique
"Unfortunately, in today's hyper-voyeuristic society, many choose to exist in a realm consistent to one of Fashion Robotism - one that has been pre-ordained or pre-selected by someone other than you, and has little to do with individuality."
Glenda K. Harrison (excerpt from True Style: A Look Beyond the Surface)

Outfit Details: Ukrainian dress via eBay; Nine West boots via eBay; Polish is Merino Cool by essie; Rings on thumb courtesy of Chico's (sold out); bracelets purchased in Mexico; Silhouette watch by Citizen

"When a person's life purpose is rooted in their unique qualities, they most certainly stand out from the crowd. They project an allure which not only melds their fashion choices, but their entire essence as well."
Glenda K. Harrison (excerpt from True Style: A Look Beyond the Surface)

Sartorial Savvy:
  1. Top designers are often inspired by fashions from different cultures and countries. The Ukrainian dress is a hot commodity for the fashion forward. However, to avoid paying the high cost from top designers, search sites like eBay and Etsy for such UNIQUE items.

  1. Love this look on you, Glenda! The sharpness of the boots balances the folkwear dress beautifully.

    1. Thanks Elle! I'm surprised how much this dress is similar to the looks I found while vacationing in Mexico. I adore this dress, and have big plans for it.

  5. I love folkloric fashion more than anything else - probably stemming from a collection of dolls from other countries that I had as a little girl. That ethnic look sure suits you! Talk to you tomorrow!

    1. Oh wow, Mithra. That's a very interesting fact about you. Funny how are childhood loves develop into adult loves.

  6. You were very smart buying this dress via Ebay. It is unique and suits you very well. Unfortunately Ebay is not big in the Netherlands and it is not worth it having it shipped from the USA.

    1. Greetje, eBay is international. The dress I'm wearing came from the Ukraine and the shipping cost was only $8.
