Flower Power

Outside my front door is a burst of colorful delight that comes in the form of a beautiful rose. When I look in its direction, the blooms instantly make me smile. I love the potency of flower power. I applaud its transforming ability to bring joy into our lives. Today's look is dedicated to the lively, spirited, and fragrant qualities of the flower.

To celebrate one of natures wonders, I have selected the most beloved top I own - the lovely Dahlia Peplum by Cameo from Anthropologie (last worn on Took My Breath Away) combined with a pair of bright red denims that emulate the color of the rose. Enjoy!

Today's Look - Dahlia Peplum by Cameo: Anthropologie (Last year but still available on eBay); Red Denim: Old Navy (Options on Shopstyle); Gold Sandals by Nine West (Options by J.Crew); Polish is Rekha by Zoya; Necklace: Loft

I hope your week is going beautifully. If you need a midweek boost, stop and smell the flowers. Better yet, celebrate YOU by venturing into your local flower mart to purchase some colorful blooms to bring into your home. Allow their power to overtake you. I guarantee you'll feel much better and ready to blossom {wink}

      One of my tricks in posing is I lean onto my tip toes.

  3. What a great look Glenda! I LOVE that top!! Anthropologie has wonderful tops that just make you feel fabulous! I love how you paired it with the red jeans. The necklace with the interest in the back is really something special. I do love the bolder florals that are trending this spring. And your weather (insert heavy sigh!), this whole look makes me so anxious for spring and summer! Karen

    1. Hi Karen, yes, I must admit, we are quite spoiled in California. The weather is very nice and I'm not complaining. Though it does make it hard for newly planted grass to take root. I agree, Anthropologie has amazing tops...clothes. If I could afford it, I would by my entire wardrobe from them.

  7. Truly gorgeous, Glenda! You look stunning and I am willing to bet you also smell good, just like a flower. Roses are such a beautiful flower and one of my favourites. I used to have at least thirty of them in my garden. It is probably too hot for it but I want to drape a green shawl over your shoulders so that you have some leaves to nestle in. LOL xoxo

    1. Hi, and thank you! I purchased my first pair of floral pants last spring from H&M. They have a black background and are sprinkled with a subtle floral pattern. Not too overwhelming.
