Fall is such an interesting and poignant season. We watch as trees and flowers begin to loose their leaves while other foliage becomes dormant. This is natures own way of ridding itself from what is no longer useful. Then in late winter, we give nature a little extra help by pruning away the remaining parts that keep it from fully developing come spring time. Isn't life the same way? Often times we have to remove unnecessary elements in order that we may bloom to our fullest.
By viewing nature and life in this perspective, it makes the changing of seasons much more easier to bare. For I know, that by removing what is preventing re-growth, in time, I will sprout beyond belief. As the season of fall finally makes an appearance in Southern California, I thought it would be fun to wear an outfit that bids summer farewell, but also gives a precursor to what is to become when I finally blossom.

Dear Glenda, I totally agree with regarding removing all that is necessary in order to grow and move forward in life. You look radiant in that flowered blouse. It is supper pretty and the jeans fit you like a glove. May you continue blossoming and growing so you can pass all that you learn to us via your beautiful posts. Have a blessed week. XOXO, Jeannette

ReplyDeleteAw, thanks Sue. We petites can't wear too much volume at once...it'll drown us! I'm glad you like the look. This is my first time wearing Diane Gilman. It was nice of them to send me the jeans. And you're right, the fit is great!

DeleteYou look lovely in these colors...and I agree with everyone else...love the jeggings!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Pam! They come courtesy of Diane Gilman. They're very comfortable.
DeleteI love your sentiment here, Glenda! I think that nothing is a waste, and all comes just in the right time - in nature or in our lives. Though, unlike nature where changes sort of "happen"... naturally... we people need to act, inspired by changes. 'Nough philosophy. Look at your gorgeously blooming top! Perfect for sunny California Fall. And the jeggings are hugging beautifully. Here is to change! xxx
ReplyDeleteDear Natalia, I have learned that nothing is a waste over the years. It took me quite some time to realize this. And thank you for your very kind words.
DeleteI love the top and those jeggings are a must have.
ReplyDeleteThanks Neti! Stop by Diane Gilman and get yourself a pair :)

I'm sorry Cara, but thank you :)
DeleteA lovely look. Stretchy jeans with no bulk in the waist are often a great item in ones wardrobe. These look very comfortable. And your gold sandals.... as usual I am in love with them.

PS raining and storming here in Holland.
We did have rain for about 24 hours last weekend. It was so needed. California is experiencing a drought. Unfortunately the temps are moving back up into the high 80s low 90s beginning Wednesday.
DeleteI was happy to receive these jeggings from Diane Gilman. They're very comfy.
Gorgeous top Glenda. Swooning again over the heels here. For you question, it's the botanical garden. There is no castle. Behind my back (first pic) is a book shop and gift shop, tho.

Thank you Sharon, but I don't think I should pack my summer wardrobe away just yet, temps are moving back into the 90s again.

Thanks Cherie!
DeleteSuch a cute top! Love them with the jeggings. I have a hard time with Diane Gilman jeans but the fit is fab on you. Maybe I should try the jeggings and go down a size? Hmmmm....
ReplyDeleteThe sizes are more generic. When they contacted me I told them that I'm petite. I don't think they have petites. The size they sent was still a little too big, but I made it work.
DeleteSuch a cute look Glenda! The oversize tunic is GORGE on you and a nice offset with the skinnies ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you Joi! Yes, I'm quite infatuated with the top.
