A Thanksgiving Message to YOU

Here in the States, we celebrate a wonderful holiday called Thanksgiving. It is such a lovely celebration that brings family and friends together around a traditional and delicious turkey feast in remembrance of why we are thankful. Thanksgiving is one of my most favorite times of the year!

During the week of Thanksgiving (November 23rd-29th), I am taking a much needed break from cyber-world so that I can free my mind and focus my energy on my husband, sons, and for allowing space for the creativity flow to blossom. Like most women, you could describe my mind as a desktop computer with many open tabs. Well, I would like to take this time to close those tabs and live in the precious moment. My family practices a fun tradition of heading up to a small, but touristy Danish town called Solvang after the feast. Solvang is nestled in the Santa Ynez Valley and isn't far from the coastal city of Santa Barbara. We enjoy taking this leisurely oceanic road trip to the town to enjoy the decadent desserts, a fine meal, and a little shopping. During this time of the year, Solvang is decked-out in all of its Christmas glory with decorated trees lining the sidewalks and carolers singing on the street corners. As you can probably imagine, it is quite a delightful time that we truly enjoy.

Though Thanksgiving is a holiday celebrated in the U.S, I'm taking this time to thank ALL of my friends who follow So What to Twenty. I am so very blessed to have such an incredible network of cyber-friends from all around this beautiful world to share in this journey. You encourage me. You inspire me. You give me hope. You make me smile. You make me laugh...and for all of these great attributes, I say...I am thankful to you. And though we haven't broke bread personally, I feel a bond with you that stretches far beyond our love for great fashion. It is a bond that is heartfelt and a remarkable testament to the true spirit of women.

Have a wonderful week and a hope that life continues to flourish on your behalf!
Happy Thanksgiving{wink}

  7. Glenda,
    I love, and can relate to these words:

    you could describe my mind as a desktop computer with many open tabs. Well, I would like to take this time to close those tabs and live in the precious moment.

    I think it is important that we do that from time to time, reboot, to stay in the metaphor.
    I, too, value the bond between us, virtual though it may be, it is real to me.
    Happy Thanksgiving!
