Scalloped

I am a firm believer that the art of getting dressed should be a fun experience. Today is a prime example of the great joy I have when I pull together a look for a certain event. Like I have mentioned before, the California lifestyle is a huge influence on my wardrobe, and today's outfit is no exception.

I know I'm ahead of the game on this, but, the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend (May 25th), my family will be going to an outdoor Smooth Jazz Festival. Along with experiencing the sounds of a fantastic line-up of jazz artists, the guests will also have the opportunity to taste food and wine. I always look forward to attending these types of events, and when I do, I love showcasing the "Chill" vibe with my outfit. Recently I popped into Anthropologie and discovered a deliciously cute peplum top with scalloped details...perfect for the occasion.

Today's look: Clovelly Peplum Top-Anthropologie, Skinnies (old) from Nordstrom Rack, Fedora (old)-H&M, Jerome Oxford by Sam Edelman, Silver rings from Everything Silver, Rhinestone belt (old) from Loft

Check out the back of the top. Isn't it pretty?!

You can't participate in a jazz, food & wine festival without a cool hat.

The jazz concert is just one of the many activities we have scheduled for the summer months. What a way to kick-off my favorite season. So excited! Tell me, what do you and your wardrobe have planned for this summer{wink}

  8. Anthropologie has such beautiful clothing. The top is adorable. I love the blue and green tones in this outfit. The silver metallic oxfords are perfect with those tones. I enjoy outside concerts which is another reason summer is so terrific. I look forward to enjoying nature. Of course, a hat is a definite must to ward off excessive exposure to sunrays and a fedora is a great choice. They are my favorite hat style outside of my love of vintage hats, of course.

  14. The details on that top are really pretty and I love the colours you've combined in that outfit. I have no plans whatsoever for summer, and I'm still waiting for it to feel like spring. I hope to attend at least one day of Music Fest this summer but I'm not sure. While Music Fest is always good, you have to buy your tickets before they announce the headliners.

    1. Yep Shawna, the top stole the show in this ensemble. Often times we go to the festivals just for the atmosphere. I can see myself laying on a big blanket and taking a nap :)
