What I Wore: Classically Simple

Hello Lovelies!

Every fashion lover has wardrobe staples that they turn to time and time again. Such is the case for the pieces that I'm wearing today. Classic, simple, easy pieces that just work...black slim pants, a cozy pull-over sweater, and classic penny loafers. Some would say that this look isn't blog-worthy, however, I beg to differ, since I'm not one to run out and purchase the hot new look. As a fashion and style blogger, I try to stay on point to my true aesthetic, which is a minimalistic classic with a twist. I spoke about my style HERE. So for today, there are no fuss and frills, just good classic pieces with some cool accessories for a twist.

Today's Look:
Sweater: H&M
Pants: Michael Kors
Loafers: Cole Haan
Belt: Michael Kors
Necklace: Monet
Watch is my husbands
Rings from H&M and JCrew
Polish: Long Kiss by China Glaze

Have a classically, simple day {wink}

  5. Aside from the fact that you look fabulous, so much so that I'm almost tempted to rethink classics again, what I really love is your choice of gold-toned jewelry. My default is always silver, especially with what is essentially a gray and black outfit. I also love the shiny shoes. XXOO

    1. Jean I use to default to silver whenever I wore silver, Grays, etc, but I love the contrast of the gold. I love the classics!

  6. Glenda, I happily beg to differ. I think classic clothing that is well styled is blog worthy and even sets a great example to others to wear what you love, and what you already own!! Love this outfit.

    1. I completely agree with you. I have tried to dress in styles that we're not me. I usually feel uncomfortable. The classics are who I am.

  7. I like the way you wear the front side of your sweater in your trousers in some of the pics. It really elongates your legs. I should try that too.

  9. Woman, what ever do you mean with "not blog worthy"? This is great. A very good outfit. Classic but with a modern twist. Like the way you tuck that pretty sweater in your trousers.
You get an A from me.

    1. Well, just saying that the younger gals seem to like glam 24/7. Thanks for the compliment Greetje, I tucked the sweater because I was trying to get a shot of the belt. Now that I look at it...it is kind of cool :)
